I'm voting for Barack Michelle

I know, I know. I voted for Hillary in the California primary. But then I went skiing for the weekend and returned to find it was very possibly not the Hillary Show but the Barack Show. Important things like this happen when I'm gone: I skip the gym because I have pneumonia, and they paint the spin room. I spend a weekend on the slopes and in a cabin with no television (the way a cabin in the mountains should be in my book), and the economy enters a recession (one of my earlier trips). And now this.

But that's fine. Because I've always said I'd be fine with Hill or Barack (preferably both), but what I'm more than fine with is Michelle. Just look at her getting it on here:

And then I read this from a Wall Street Journal interview:
At home, she expects a lot of every family member, from having her 6- and 9-year-old daughters set their own alarm clocks to insisting her husband pick up his dirty socks.
Goddamn. I am so down with that. Any woman who can get a six-year-old to set an alarm clock and a husband to pick up dirty socks is clearly capable of telling her husband how to run the country.

Go Michelle.

Yeah! I too think Michelle is great. I saw an interview with her on CNN and she was so open about her true feelings toward campaigning and her husband/family. I like that she's a 'realist'.
Go Michelle!

I love this post! And I love Michelle for all the same reasons you do and then some...

Expect a lot. Not a bad motto.

Thanks!

You crack me up!

While you were skiing, I was doing my thing by attending my first caucus, like tons of other Washingtonians.

I hope you had a great time.

And in case you are wondering, I am on team Obama.

my kind of woman! I saw a 60 minute interview about 2 years ago with them and they were adorable! I love that they are good like that together!

Yes, Michelle Obama rules! Damn, it would be too amazing if they were our President and First Lady. I can't say I'm on board with this whole Hillarack thing, though. Neither of them would know what to do as second-in-command, I'm afraid...it's not in their personalities...

Without getting into a political debate, I have to say that I love Michelle Obama. I read a great article about her yesterday in the WSJ and she really seems to have it all together. Great mom, career woman, wife, and unofficial campaign manager. She has my vote, even if her hubby doesn't yet!

I originally thought I was going to vote Hillary until I found out that she's in bed with Monsanto. I can't vote for anyone who in any way supports GM seeds, so I checked out Obama and I feel like he's the better candidate. I have to admit that I have not read anything about Michelle.

I'm right there with ya. Love both candidates, love their spouses. Yes, even Bill. Michelle seems to be a strong, beautiful wife, Mother and career woman. I always enjoy hearing her speak. It's getting exciting...

Great post :)

I think she's great too. My dream team would be Hil/Obama. But at this point I would take either one and be giddy!

Obama fever really seems to have taken off.

I get most of my news right now from blogs. I haven't heard/read much about Michelle--thanks for posting this. I'm somewhat looking forward to getting back to the States and seeing how it's all playing out. Somewhat dreading it too though!
