Oh, for heaven's sake—did you believe that for even a minute? This being Berkeley and all?
But whereas I thought it would be sort of funny if ONE person in Berkeley voted for Mitt, it just couldn't be me. He's too much of a Ken doll, and he smiles while he says not nice things about people.
Then again, the mayor of San Francisco is the biggest Ken doll of all (see the similarities here?), and I think he's done a fine job of governing that city. No, it's not a matter of plastic hair. But then I hardly need to explain that, right?
Husband and I have permanent absentee ballots, which we walked into the polling place because we dithered over our choices for so long. We voted no on all propositions. The three Indian gaming ones had us scratching our heads for a while, but whereas it disturbed us to be voting with large Las Vegas gaming companies who funded the opposition, we decided expanding this business, which has been so anti-labor was not a good idea. We might of considered if it were clear that money raised would give education a big shot in the arm, but this wasn't the case.
But was it to be Hillary or Barack? This is what caused us much consternation. Really, either would be fine with us, but what we really want is BOTH. On one ticket. Together. And the only way we can see this happening is with her on the top of the ticket. Plus I think her healthcare plan would be more inclusive. And I think she will be better able to challenge McCain on the experience issue in the general election.
So there you have it. An impossible dream? Maybe, but when asked about this possibility, she DID NOT SAY NO. So doesn't that mean maybe?

You mean as Americans we aren't supposed to vote for the hunkiest? Oh crap!
It's kind of like my sister rooting for the Patriots in the Super Bowl because Tom Brady is sexier than Eli Manning :) :)
I love, love, love the idea of the dream team.
Why, with that line-up, I would once again think that America is at least half as cool as France.
I'm probably making lots of people mad with that comment, but come on, people! They have fresh bread and wine at damn near every meal!
AND they're all skinny bitches!
And Mitt, though he is beloved by all my neighbors, is SO Ken. It bugs me.
I gasped outloud when I read the title of your post!
I had such a hard time today- I've never felt quite so emotional over a vote.
Then I caught myself thinking, "If only Obama was a woman." And then my choice was clear.
They say they want to hear what the American people want, don't they? We want an Obama/Hilary or Hilary?Obama ticket! So listen up!!!
The Clinton / Obama ticket would be unstoppable. I've been assuming all the hoo-haw from the primary is just posturing. I assume they have a secret deal, with Hillary as Prez. They seem to be intelligent people...
So, so, SO much better than a McCain/Huckabee ticket, which they were talking about on the news this morning.
Well, you know my thoughts/feelings about Ms. Hillary - but I do agree that Obama needs to choose someone with experience to balance his ticket. (I'm still hoping he'll end up the nominee.)
Romney? Ugh.
Sounds good, no PERFECT, to me!!!!
Hillary spoke at my college in, gulp, '92? After hearing her, I remember my friends and I chanting, "Hillary for President!" all the way back to the house. AND, I remember people looking at us and shouting, "That'll NEVER happen!" Well... maybe it can! Yippee!!! ;)
I agree - what an awesome ticket. Maybe this could be a country people could feel free in again...
UGHH as a Massachusetts resident my dislike for Mitt runs true and blue. Although his resemblance to Guy Smiley HAS always cracked me up :-P
And I also share your impossible dream!! Can you imagine!? Sigh.
