A little holiday shopping

. . . from the place I shop best—my office chair.

I've already taken care of the women in my family with a stop over at The Paper Cafe. My sister stops by occasionally, so I can't post what I bought, but suffice it to say Mollie told me in a very nice email following my order that the gifts I selected are the hit of the season. They've got lots of great stuff, and I'll be stopping by after the holidays to do a little shopping for myself. Because I probably do really need a personalized stamper. Like this:

Or this:

I mean, who doesn't?

In the meantime, I did a little shopping for Sophie at my favorite on line toystore, Magic Cabin. They specialize in handcrafted classic toys and are proud of the fact that their toys are entirely kid-powered—no batteries needed. And most of the toys are made of natural materials, not plastic. I shopped today with a 20% off email promotion. Whoohoo!

So here's today's haul:

Modeling wax. This will work much better than the wax covering cheese for taking dental impressions, as well as making little sculptures that will surely look nothing like those pictured here.

Pastels. She's been wanting these for ages.

Potholder weaving loom. Because my potholders are looking seriously shabby. I've simply lit them on fire too many times.

A bicycle bell for the bicycle that she just learned to ride. I know: More questionable parenting. But we live on a hill in a neighborhood with no sidewalks. And we're busy.

A bicycle basket. This is on backorder but should be here by her birthday in March.

I even got something for Big S. Mum's the word.
