If you come to my house for Thanksgiving

you will have a little pinecone turkey on your plate.

Aren't glue guns wonderful? I'm hardly Crafty McCraftsperson—crafts usually make me feel frustrated and inept. But this one was so easy a well-supervised chimp could have done it. It actually made me feel better.

I will have twelve people at my house for Thanksgiving dinner, so Sophie woke up to twelve little turkeys marching across her breakfast table. On to planning my menu and on to other things.

Hello Cindy, I am so sorry about your community's loss of a beautiful child, so awful. We have dealt with a similar issue, the parents made a garden in the school's common area, as a tribute to their daughter. They also made up rubber wrist bands. That helped, and a lot of people wear them. Thank you also for your kind post about feeling bruised. I had someone who I thought was a blogger friend, " dump me" without explanation or warning. I was surprised. I guess I was not aware of how sensitive some folks were about the election and their choice from president. I felt I should not explain, but a least offer up the explanation. But after reading your post on the death of a child, it but it in perspective for me. It doesn't matter. I am going to hug my son now. Thanks for the support and the wake up call! Best, Becs

I just read about the little girl you lost...so tragic. I was just explaining how aneursyms work to my kids, as a little girl at our school lost her dad to one - and now I read this. How do you deal with something so sudden?

Cute turkey! I'm making turkey cookies with everyone's name written on them.

I'm a crafts dropout as well, but I have five hundred bazillion pinecones in my yard.....hmmmm, maybe I should get busy!

Really cute! I got a catalog from Paper Source yesterday and they had adorable things like that for tables. Makes me want to have Thanksgiving, minus all the cooking of course.

I love it! I was going to use fall colored ribbon around the napkins, now you have me rethinking!
